How to set up your account on Semrush

Enter your email and create a secure password
On the signup page, enter your email address and create a strong, memorable password that you'll use to access your account regularly. Alternatively, you can sign up using your Google account if you're already logged in, which may save time during the registration process.
Verify your email address
Check your email inbox for a verification message from Semrush. Click the verification link or copy and paste the verification code provided in the email into the confirmation field on the Semrush website. This step confirms that you own the email address associated with your account.
Add your credit card for account verification
Enter your credit card details on the billing page. Semrush will perform a $1 authorization charge to verify your card is valid. This charge will be automatically refunded to your account, so you won't incur any unexpected costs. This step is required to activate your free trial access.
Confirm your account activation
Once your card details have been verified and processed, your account setup is complete. You'll receive a confirmation message, and your account will be activated with access to Semrush's full suite of tools during your free trial period.
Enter your website domain
On the starting screen after login, you'll be prompted to enter your website name or domain. Type your website's domain name (for example, example.com) and click the Start now button. This action launches your SEO Dashboard and creates a Semrush Folder based on your domain for organizing your SEO efforts.

Your SEO Dashboard will automatically appear on the next screen, displaying key metrics about your website's performance. Set up your first project (optional)
To begin tracking specific keywords and monitoring your site's performance, set up your first project by specifying keywords you want to track. You can enter your website's domain to analyze your site's performance and SEO health, or create additional projects for competitor analysis or other domains you manage.
Invite team members (optional)
If you need to add team members to your account, navigate to the User Management page from the sidebar and click Buy more next to User count in the top left corner to purchase additional user seats. Then click Invite users and enter their email addresses. Team members will receive an invitation via email and can accept it to create their own login credentials while sharing your subscription limits.
